#004 Benedetto Archtop

Once upon a time, long ago, I got to play one of these for an hour or so and I've wanted one ever since.  It's a large body archtop acoustic / electric jazz guitar designed by Robert Benedetto.  It's my long term project and consequently, it gets interrupted by other projects that somehow end up with higher priorities.  My archtop will have an Engleman spruce soundboard, a maple back, ribs, and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.  An archtop is built very much like a violin or viola or cello - the front and back are both carved inside and out to create the proper contouring and thickness.
