So our friends, Richard and Carolyn, were supposed to go to PEI with us last month but they had to bail because of a medical issue. So we decided we needed to go away for a weekend to make up for it. So we went up to Huntsville this past weekend to Arrowhead Provincial Park. What a great time ! They beat us up there because we went to band practise on Friday afternoon, but we got all set up and settled well before dinner. On Saturday, the weather was great and we spent much of the day cycling around the park with the dogs in their carriers, then we went for a long walk out to the park entrance so that the dogs would get some exercise too. We woke up to rain on Sunday, but that was okay too. I built a good fire just beyond the RV's canopy and the four of us sat around for a few hours with the fire going, talking, reading, and snacking. Great fun !
Oh yeah ... the picture is of me calling Joshua in Texas to check on him ... Hurricane Ike was forecast to make landfall near Brownsville and I was checking to make sure he was okay.
